Child safety standards
Renewbird, operated by Renewbird by Owais Builds, is a reminder app for adults to track document expiry dates. It has no public content, no messaging and no way to contact strangers. We still have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and child sexual abuse material (CSAM) anywhere in the service, including uploaded files.
Our standards
- Adults only. Renewbird is for people aged 18 and over. Parents may record a child’s document dates in their own household; children don’t have accounts.
- Prohibited content. Uploading or storing material that sexualises a minor is prohibited and leads to immediate account termination.
- Reporting to authorities. We report apparent CSAM to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and the relevant authorities, and preserve what they need.
- Design that limits risk. Households are private and invite-only. Files are visible only to members of the household that uploaded them.
How to report a concern
Email kowais915@gmail.com with “Child safety” in the subject. If a child is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first. In the US you can also report to NCMEC’s CyberTipline at report.cybertip.org.
How we handle reports
- Reviewed within 24 hours.
- Violating content removed and the account terminated.
- Apparent CSAM reported to NCMEC and the relevant authorities; we cooperate with law enforcement.
